Langtang Gosainkunda trekking 14 Days |
Langtang is a region in Nepal to the north of Kathmandu and bordering Tibet. It is protected as Langtang National Park and has a number of high peaks including Langtang Lirung (7246m). As of 2008, the entrance ticket to the park cost 1000 Nepali Rupees for foreigners.
About 4,500 people live inside the park, and many more depend on it for timber and firewood. The majority of the residents are Tamang.
The park contains a wide variety of climatic zones, from subtropical to alpine. Approximately 25% of the park is forested. Trees include the deciduous Oak and Maple, and evergreens like Pine, and various types of Rhododendron. Animal life includes Himalayan black bear, the goat-like Himalayan tahr, Rhesus monkeys and Red Pandas. There are also stories of Yeti sightings.
Gosainkunda Lake Kyanjin Gompa
The park contains the Gosainkunda lakes, sacred to Hindus. Pilgrimages are made there in August. Another spiritual site is the Buddhist monastery Kyanjin Gompa. |

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
Day 02: Free Day Katmandou
Day 03: Kathmandu drive to Sybru Bensi by bus.
Day 03: Sybru Bensi trek to Lama Hotel.(2410m)
Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang village.(3330m)
Day 05: Langtang village trek to Kyanjin Gompa.(3730m)
Day 06: Kyanjin Gompa excursion day During this day you will excursion Kyanjin
Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa trek to Lama Hotel(2410m)
Day 08: Lama Hotel to Sybru village (2210m)
Day 09: Shybru village to Singh Gompa/Chandanbari(3250m)
Day 10:Sing Gompa to Gosainkund lake ( 4380m m)
Day 11: Gosainkund lake to Sing Gompa(3250m)
Day 12: Sing Gompa to Dhunche (1960m)
Day 13: Dhunche drive back to Kathmandu by bus.
Day 14: Transfer to the airport for departure.
